Leisure
Leisure Overview
The leisure sector provides an enormous contribution to the lifeblood of both the day-time & night-time economy in the UK. However, business owners and event organizers should be aware of the risks and dangers of running this type of business.
Typically, we install to Hotels, Cinemas, Fitness centres, Casino, Pubs & any size kitchen found within these types of premises.

Hotels
In a hotel environment, there are several factors to consider including the kitchen & IT rooms. Cannon Fire Protection can provide an inert gas system to environments that need protecting in an environment where covering the assets in water or other flame suppression liquid is not possible, as it would cause further damage (such as IT & server rooms).
Inert Gas
Inert gas systems extinguish a fire by lowering Oxygen levels (which are typically around the 21% mark) within a protected area, but within ‘safe for life support’ limitations.

Cannon Fire Protection can provide an inert gas system to environments that need protecting in an environment where covering the assets in water or other flame suppression liquid is not possible, as it would cause further damage (such as IT & server rooms).
Additionally, other equipment such as poolside steam rooms can be seen as a fire hazards due to their heating elements. We would install either a pneumatic or water mist system.
Water Mist
A water mist system is a fire protection system which utilises water, high pressure and specialized sprinkler spray heads to form very fine water droplets, ranging from 50 to 300µm depending on the system design.

Pub Kitchens
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 all establishments must conduct and document their own FRA (Fire risk assessment). The Responsible Person should be sufficiently trained in completing this assessment and particular attention should be given to those areas which create the greatest risk of fire or the safety of public and employees.
Cannon Fire Protection is one of the few Ansul authorised dealers in the UK. Cannon supply various hospitals in the UK with Ansul R-102 equipment which keeps their kitchens safe.
What is ANSUL® R-102?
ANSUL® is the leading Kitchen Fire suppression system in the world. It is a fixed, wet chemical, Low pH extinguishing system that blends seamlessly into any commercial kitchen.
Cinemas
Any enclosed area that is frequented by the public requires the introduction of fire safety measures to prevent an outbreak and minimise risks. Premises that are occupied by large numbers of people at any given time, such as theatres and cinemas, need to ensure procedures and equipment are implemented and reviewed regularly to ensure potential harm to occupiers and buildings are reduced.
