Fire Industry gather for Charity Golf Day
Cannon Fire Protection joins dozens of companies at the 5th FIGS Annual Charity event at Belton Woods’ Golf Course
Thursday 24th May 2018 saw the fifth gathering of the Fire Industry Golf Society for its annual charity golf day at Belton Woods near Grantham in Lincolnshire. Cannon alongside other Fire Industry professionals managed to collectively raise £6110 for various charities detailed below.
Belton Woods is a first-class venue and we are thankful to them for helping make the 2018 event as successful as previous years’. The day was beautifully warm with sunshine and light winds, giving us a great day for the 52 golfers to compete.
There was also an auction and raffle that all attendees supported and hugely proud to know we helped raise £6110 for charity. This years’ event was well supported by some very generous organisations and fellow attendees have already pledged their support for another event in 2019.
Since 2014 the annual event has collectively raised nearly £20,000 for various charities and it is a great pleasure for us at Cannon to be invited and be a part of such a great charitable initiative. We are very much looking forward to FIGS Golf Day 2019!

“Had a great day, from the moment I arrived everyone was welcoming and made me feel like part of the group. After what you can loosely call golf we had a few drinks, dinner & we all put our hands in our pocket to raise money for worthy causes. I am looking forward to attending next years event and meeting up with new found friends and colleagues.”
